Create your first claim
- Choose an unclaimed area in the overworld, outside protected spawn.
- Hold a golden shovel and right-click two opposite corners of your planned claim.
- Follow the chat messages and boundary markers. Use a stick to inspect a block’s claim.
New players begin with 100 claim blocks and earn up to 100 additional blocks per hour of active play. A regular claim must be at least 5 blocks wide and 100 blocks in area. Your first chest may create a small automatic claim when there is room; inspect it and expand it before relying on it.

Use the exact in-game name shown for Bedrock players, including their prefix. Do not grant public build or container trust just to let someone buy from a chest shop. Creating a shop requires claim ownership or build trust. Customers can trade through the shop without being allowed to open the chest. If a claim expires, is abandoned or shrinks past the shop, or its owner loses the required trust, the affected shop registration can be removed.
Know the boundaries
Hopper use in claims requires build trust. Claim protection does not replace backups or give protection from trusted players. Long-abandoned claims can expire: automatic chest claims after 7 days, unused claims after 14 days, and eligible regular claims after 60 days of inactivity. Larger established claims have configured exceptions.
Report suspected theft or griefing promptly with coordinates, the dimension and an approximate time so staff can inspect block-history records.
